The family of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has sold his Toorak apartment.

The new owner of a Toorak apartment that previously belonged to Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe will soon be opening the pad’s Gryffin-door.

Radcliffe’s family purchased the St Georges Rd home in 2004 while he was filming in Australia for $1.9m, according to CoreLogic.

The two-bedroom apartment was transferred to Radcliffe once he turned 18.

He listed home for sale in 2015 with a $2.5m asking price, but it was later withdrawn from the market after eight days.

A company that listed Radcliffe’s parents Marcia Gresham and Alan Radcliffe as directors purchased the property for $2m in 2021.

They recently sold the apartment for an undisclosed price which the Herald Sun understands is in the low $2m’s.

Marshall White Stonnington director Marcus Chiminello declined to comment, but confirmed the apartment had sold.

The home’s features include two bathrooms, two car spaces and views of the Yarra River.

Radcliffe is best known for his role as Harry Potter in the world-famous movie franchise, which began filming in 2000.

The English born actor, now 33, has starred in several other films including The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, Victor Frankenstein, Swiss Army Man, Now You See Me 2 Imperium and the television series Miracle Workers.

He portrayed US singer and musical satirist Weird Al Yankovic in The Roku Channel film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story this year.

The Toorak apartment has Yarra River views.

Radcliffe has also performed in Broadway, West End and off-Broadway shows and musicals since 2007.

His acting debut came at the age of 10 in BBC One’s two-part adaptation of David Copperfield and his film debut was in 2001’s The Tailor of Panama alongside Pierce Brosnan, Geoffrey Rush and Jamie Lee Curtis.
