Ryan Gosling has plenty of options for where he might stay in Sydney
Given most of us are funding Ryan Gosling’s visit to Australia, it’s probably only natural we might like to know where the Hollywood superstar is staying.
Gosling touched down in Sydney this week with wife Eva Mendes, in preparation to shoot the movie The Fall Guy, with Emily Blunt.
It will be shot in Sydney and rural NSW, while Gosling calls Australia his home for the rest of the year.
Ryan Gosling is coming to Sydney.
The movie is based on the highly popular 1980s TV series of the same name and is being made with $45m of taxpayer money via federal and NSW government grants.
So Mr Gosling if we’re picking up the tab, let us suggest where you might like to stay.
Vaucluse Bay, Vaucluse
NSW’s leading agent, according to the list of NSW top 50 real estate agents in 2022, Alexander Phillips, last month declared Coolong Rd, Vaucluse “the best street in Australia” after buying $23m worth of property for himself in the harbourside.

If Gosling wants a reference, he could look to fellow A-lister Julia Roberts who laid down $20,000 a week to live in a glorious waterfront mansion, rated one of Sydney’s best homes, on the street, when she was in the country shooting A Ticket to Paradise with George Clooney late last year.
But if Canadian Gosling wants to enjoy a Sydney sunset from the balcony of his eastern suburbs pile, he could opt to stay on the other side of Vaucluse Bay.
Leonardo DiCaprio did, when he paid around $15,000 a week in 2011 to stay on Fitzwilliam, Rd while shooting The Great Gatsby.

Balmoral Beach, Mosman
If the eastern suburbs isn’t to Gosling’s liking, he could choose another blue chip location on the other side of the harbour.
Rita Ora found Mosman right up her alley when she was in Sydney in April last year headlining Mardi Gras and starring as a judge on The Voice.
The UK pop star was living the dream as she dropped $30,000 a week on a $30m harbourfront mansion on Sydney’s lower north shore.

You gotta have a cinema room.
The luxury, three-storey Rosherville Rd home on Mosman’s sought after ‘Golden Mile’ precinct boasts five bedrooms and sublime harbour views west from its infinity pool, where Ora seemed to spend plenty of time sunning herself.
Known as Danieli, the landmark trophy home occupies about 1500 sqm, and is one of only a handful of Mosman houses to have a boatshed and deepwater jetty.

It also boasts a state-of-the-art gym and a home cinema.
Ora was one of several international A-listers who have called the streets, hills and sandy pockets around Balmoral Beach, Mosman their Australian home in the past several years and who could attest to its welcoming nature.
Coronation Ave dream home.
It’s the type of joint Gosling might also like.
It sold for around $22m last year.
In 2017, the lower north shore suburb had Bieber fever with Justin Bieber renting a mansion in Coronation Ave, that sold for $21.5m in March last year.
While David and Victoria Beckham rented a $19m Balmoral home during the Invictus Games in 2018.

Australia’s richest suburb Point Piper is good enough for ‘Mr Harbourside Mansion’ himself former PM Malcolm Turnbull and it was good enough for Bill Gates, so at the very least it’s worth considering for Gosling.
During his 2011 visit to Sydney, Gates stayed at the then-home of Sydney car dealer Neville Chrichton.

That Point Piper pad sold for $61m in 2017, then the third highest sale in Australia ever.
It also featured prominently on a recent list of NSW’s Best 50 Homes.
Barford, Bellevue Hill
Tipped to be Australia’s next $100m+ sale, 1930s hillside home Barford boasts views as good as any other home in the Harbour City.
La La Land actor Gosling could join the likes of Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, Bono, Kanye West and Beyonce who have all enjoyed the super indulgent luxury and world class views over glorious Sydney Harbour of the seven-bedroom Georgian mansion that sits on 5,527 sqm.

However, it might not be available for rent, when Gosling comes Down Under. Tech guru billionaire and Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar has been living in the home, built for publisher Sir Warwick Fairfax, and has taken such a liking to it, there are rumours he could buy it.
La Joie De Vivre, Bayview
No doubt any A-lister would feel at home in this ‘landmark property’ which “is “surrounded by enchanting landscaped gardens with a commanding setting affording panoramic 180 degree views over the ocean and boat-filled Pittwater waters”.
La Joie De Vivre, Bayview
It conjures up all the glories of the Italian Riviera with the views of Sydney.
Its soaring Spotten Gums provide a unique Aussie feel, and it might offer a tad more privacy than another abode closer to the city.
And at $6,500 per week, this ‘Jewel of Pittwater’ on Minkara Rd is something of a steal compared to the usual $20,000 to $30,000 global superstars drop each week on Sydney house rental when they visit.
‘Jewel of Pittwater’.
Better yet, it’s even for rent to the mere mortals among us via LJ Hooker Gordon’s Eugene Daley and Kenny Gong.
Finger Wharf, Wooloomooloo
Aussie movie royalty Russell Crowe loves it here, so does John Laws. What’s better Rusty loves throwing a shindig down on Wooloomooloo so Gosling could bunk down at the five-star Ovolo on the wharf here and make the most of all the fantastic waterside dining, including of course Sydney icon Harry’s Cafe de Wheels.
